Welcome to Scottville in West Michigan!
The city of Scottville is a small community in the heart of Mason County, approximately eight miles east of Lake Michigan. Located at the intersection of US-10 and US-31 in the center of Mason County, Scottville was named, according to legend, by the toss of a coin in 1882. Hiram Scott won the toss from Charles Blain and the community was named Scottville and became incorporated as a city in 1889.
